Concert Series

The Musikinstrumenten-Museum hosts regular concerts featuring a variety of styles of music.

Ranging from early music to jazz to silent film scores, the various concert series at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum shed light on the history of music as well as different aspects of contemporary music culture.

Early Music Live

The music presented in this series is predominantly from the seventeenth to nineteenth century. It is performed on historical instruments, including instruments from the museum collection, when possible. more

Jazz at the MIM

Musicians of the Hannes Zerbe Jazz Orchestra with tuba, clarinet and double bass

This series takes place in cooperation with the Berlin branch of the Komponistenverband (German Association of Composers) and receives support from the Cultural Affairs Department of the Berlin Senate. The program is arranged by musician and composer Hannes Zerbe. more

Wednesday Night Cinema

Silent film classics are shown at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum once a month, from November to February. They are accompanied by live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ. more
