Organist and screen in dark cinema with audience

From November to February, it's movie time at the MIM. On the program are classics of silent films. They are accompanied by live music played by on the museum’s Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ, which was purchased by Werner Ferdinand von Siemens in the year 1929. It is the largest instrument of its type in continental Europe and has four manuals, 1228 pipes and more than 200 stops. It also incorporates a large number of percussion and special-effects instruments. The "Wednesday Night Cinema" series is curated by Katrin Simon.
