Phonographische Zeitschrift
The periodical Phonographische Zeitschrift (PZ), which, until 1933, was subtitled Fachblatt für die gesamte Musik- und Sprechmaschinen-Industrie (Professional Journal for the Entire Music and Talking Machine Industry) is a unique source of written documents and imagery concerning phonography in the first third of the twentieth century. At the initiative of the SIMPK, it was digitized from 2013 to 2014 in collaboration with the Munich Digitization Center of the Bavarian State Library as part of the project Virtual Library of Musicology. For copyright reasons, only the first 21 years can currently be made available to the public. more
Zeitschrift für Instrumentenbau
The periodical Zeitschrift für Instrumentenbau (Journal for the Construction of Musical Instruments) was founded in 1880 by Paul de Wit in Leipzig and was published by his press until 1943. It served both as a trade journal for instrument manufacturers and dealers and as a scholarly publication for organological research. The digitization of this source was undertaken as a joint project between the Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (State Institute for Music Research) and the Munich Digitization Center of the Bavarian State Library. It was funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation, DFG) as part of the project Virtual Library of Musicology. more
