Museum opening hours starting May 18, 2026

We are carrying out refurbishment work. As a result, our opening hours will be as follows from 18 May until the end of October 2026:

Wednesday: 1 pm–5 pm
Thursday, Friday: 1 pm–8 pm
Saturday, Sunday: 10 am–5 pm
Monday, Tuesday: closed

Our Welcome Guide is on hand to answer questions and play instruments live.
From 22 May 2026 until the end of October, every Friday from 6 pm to 7.30 pm.
This is included in the museum admission fee (10/concessions 5 euros).

By car
: A 115, take the AVUS exit, then the A 100 towards Kurfürstendamm – Halenseestraße – Kurfürstendamm – Tauentzienstraße – Nürnberger Straße – Budapester Straße – Stülerstraße – Tiergartenstraße – Ben-Gurion-Straße

Please use the car parks at the Kulturforum and Potsdamer Platz. Unless otherwise indicated, parking at the Kulturforum is free on Sundays.

From the main station (Hauptbahnhof) on the long-distance train
: Continue on the M 85 bus to the Varian-Fry-Straße stop, or take
the S-Bahn lines S 1 (Wannsee), S 25 (Teltow Stadt), S 26 (Teltow Stadt) towards Friedrichstraße, change trains, then travel south from Friedrichstraße to the S+U Potsdamer Platz Bhf stop, or take the Regional Express to S+U Potsdamer Platz

By plane
to Schönefeld Airport (BER): FEX regional trains to Potsdamer Platz station, RB 14, S-Bahn lines S 9 and S 45 to Friedrichstraße, then S-Bahn lines 41 or 46 to Potsdamer Platz

By boat
: Numerous passenger ferry companies call at the Potsdamer Brücke landing stage. From there, it is about 500 metres north to the State Institute for Music Research.
