Museum opening hours starting May 18, 2026
We are carrying out refurbishment work. As a result, our opening hours will be as follows from 18 May until the end of October 2026:
Wednesday: 1 pm–5 pm
Thursday, Friday: 1 pm–8 pm
Saturday, Sunday: 10 am–5 pm
Monday, Tuesday: closed

Our Welcome Guide is on hand to answer questions and play instruments live.
From 22 May 2026 until the end of October, every Friday from 6 pm to 7.30 pm.
This is included in the museum admission fee (10/concessions 5 euros).

A 115 motorway, exit AVUS, then A 100 towards Kurfürstendamm - Halenseestraße - Kurfürstendamm - Tauentzienstraße - Nürnberger Straße - Budapester Straße - Stülerstraße - Tiergartenstraße - Ben-Gurion-Straße
Please use the car parks at the Kulturforum and Potsdamer Platz. The car parks at the Kulturforum are free of charge on Sundays, unless otherwise indicated.
By boat
Numerous passenger shipping companies stop at the Potsdamer Brücke landing stage. From there it is about 500 metres north to the State Institute for Music Research.
