The Gisela Horat Trio has been together since spring 2009. Drummer Samuel Büttiker and bassist Simon Iten have been playing alongside Gisela Horat since May 2015. In their programme, the trio tells musical stories written by life in all its shades. Based on the pianist’s musical sketches and composed songs, exciting encounters arise between composition and improvisation, shaped by the different worlds of experience of the individual musicians. With evocative, jazzy harmonies, they describe colourful and exciting events, dreams, feelings and destinies in a lyrical, groovy manner. The trio has now released its sixth CD.
