Wonder Marimo 4 is a project by Japanese musicians Keisuke Matsuno and Taiko Saito, operating at the intersection of composition and improvisation. With a keen sensitivity to timbres and structures, they create dense yet fragile musical landscapes.
Together with pianist Antonis Anissegos and drummer Moritz Baumgärtner, the ensemble unfolds an open dialogue that thrives on subtle nuances as much as on energetic intensifications. Individual sonic gestures weave together into multi-layered textures that are constantly changing and reforming.
The result is a thrilling interplay of structure and spontaneity – attentive, fluid and full of sonic depth.
