Siegfried Jung Trio and BrassAppeal

Event date: 09/19/2024
Location: Musikinstrumenten-Museum, 7 p.m.

For the Year of the Tuba. Admission: 10 euros, reduced 5 euros

An extraordinary concert awaits all tuba fans - and those who want to become one. With tuba player Natascha Zickerick and her ensemble BrassAppeal as well as the Siegfried Jung Trio.

Four women, four musical worlds - that's the BrassAppeal marching band. Together they are witty, feminine and wonderful. The musicians love to present pop, soul and world music melodies in a whole new light. The tuba is far more than just the foundation: it plays powerfully, melodiously and surprisingly versatile. From deep, powerful bass grooves to delicate melodies, the tuba shows just how dynamic and multi-faceted it can be.

Siegfried Jung is principal tubist of the Mannheim National Theatre Orchestra. In a unique trio line-up with harp and piano, he presents his latest CD Porteno, including fascinating pieces of music by Geraldo Gardelin and Willi März.
