Mozart's Favourite and Hitchcock's Nightmare
Special tours from 14 September to 26 October 2024, every Saturday at 12 noon
Jörg Joachim Riehle presents the MIM's keyboard instruments: from Mozart's Stein grand piano to Oskar Sala's Mixturtrautonium, on which the soundtrack to Hitchcock's ‘The Birds’ was created.
Admission: 10 euros, reduced 8 euros (museum admission) plus 3 euros tour fee
Group tours
for children, teens, secondary-school students, university students and adults can be arranged by prior appointment.
Cost:
Guided tours for kindergarten groups, school classes, trainee and student groups: 35 euros. Guided tours for all other groups: 55 euros.
Cancellations received by telephone at +49 (0)30 254 81 139 or +49 (0)30 254 81 178 or +49 (0)30 254 81 139 no later than 48 hours before the event are free of charge. In case of cancellation after that deadline or in case of no-show on the designated date and time, a fee will be charged.
Licensed tours (with your own guide) are possible by prior arrangement. The fee is 35 euros per licensed tour of 60 minutes duration and a maximum of 30 people. Please note: Playing the instruments is not possible during licensed tours!
Tactile guidance for blind and visually impaired people
During this guided tour with tactile objects and detailed object descriptions, selected musical instruments can be explored with one's own hands. The museum has a tactile map, and the staff are trained in dealing with blind and visually impaired people. The digital museum guide is barrier-free.
