"Quetschkommode!"

Event date: 04/26/2026
Location: Musikinstrumenten-Museum, 12 bis 17 Uhr

Children’s festival celebrating the Instrument of the Year, featuring interactive concerts, quizzes and the chance to try out instruments.

The accordion is a true musical all-rounder. Whether it’s jazz, classical, Balkan beats, klezmer or a fair – the sounds of the accordion always lift the mood!

It looks like a portable mini-piano with keys on one side and buttons on the other. To coax sounds out of it, you need air: the bellows in the middle are squeezed together and pulled apart again as you play. Don’t worry – the accordion is sturdy, practical and great fun.

And if all musical instruments were to hold a competition for the funniest nicknames, the accordion would have a great chance of taking first place. No wonder, then, that our Instrument of the Year is so popular!

Come along and celebrate with us!
