From Wednesday to Friday, the MIM opens at 1 pm. On Thursdays and Fridays, opening hours are extended until 8 pm, with an additional event on Friday evening. At weekends and on public holidays, the museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The revised opening hours from 18 May at a glance:

Wednesday: 1 pm–5 pm
Thursday, Friday: 1 pm–8 pm
Saturday, Sunday: 10 am–5 pm

From 22 May, a Welcome Guide will be available to visitors on Friday evenings from 6 pm to 7.30 pm to answer questions about the collection and demonstrate instruments. This service is included in the museum admission fee (€10, concessions €5). The revised opening hours do not affect the extensive programme of events. For nursery groups and school classes, we offer special guided tours during this period in cooperation with the neighbouring Gemäldegalerie.

An overview of all events and guided tours can be found on our website at www.simpk.de.
