A double bill of Old Masters: special guided tours for nurseries and schools

From 18 May to 30 October 2026, the SIM is offering special art and music-themed guided tours of the Picture Gallery for nursery groups and school classes.
There is a choice of guided tour formats that explore the connection between paintings and music. Themes include ‘Ancient Superheroines’, ‘Music in Nature’ and ‘Time Travel’. The tours start right in the entrance hall of the Gemäldegalerie at the Kulturforum, Johanna und Eduard Arnhold Platz (formerly Matthäikirchplatz), 10785 Berlin. Due to building works, there will be no morning guided tours for nurseries and schools at the Museum of Musical Instruments of the State Institute for Music Research from 18 May to 30 October 2026. However, in collaboration with the neighbouring Gemäldegalerie, events can be organised on its premises.
